The STILL room reflects on the architecture of silence:
what is it that brings architecture, and hereby us, in a serene state?

The room devotes itself to the understanding of the dynamics of silence and how to reconnect with inner balance.
As such, it works as a contemporary sanctuary where one can contemplate in a serene atmosphere.

Our first Still Room in Antwerp embodies an inner journey to find stillness and connection with yourself.
A total renovation of about one year to re-purpose a maritime heritage building into a shelter of the mind.

At the crossing of the poetics of a Japanese teahouse and a monastic cell, Still rooms are designed to build contemplative spaces & destinations for meditation , rest , deep focus and personal growth in order to propose a sacred space to activate the power of being present.

Silence is the protagonist and interacts with our perception and imagination, creating different possibilities for sensory experiences. We translate silence into architectural poetry by returning to the essence, striving for the perfect proportion who resonates with the fullness of the void.

As an experience, STILL rooms travels to your home, in the form of one-off space for well being or as part of hospitality, branding, office or art purposes.

The energy of the space lifts up the experience towards a state of “presence”.
A feeling of deep connection between body & mind, as servant of the heart,
within a universe where time harvests space to embrace stillness in the timeless now.

A transcending awareness to disconnect from mental noise , to sit still and learn to consciously travel to our inner space, to slow down the pace of our lives and create higher potential to come closer to our life force.

Influenced by sacred architecture, Still rooms invites to seek inner peace and harmony, using natural materials and sacred geometry to provide a spatial void for meditation, recharge and comfort.

Still room not only fosters a dialogue between silence and space,
it inspires guests to come closer their authentic being.

Travelling inward enlightens a path to resonate with the beauty of the void.

In an age of speed, nothing can be more invigorating than going slow.

In an age of distraction, nothing can feel more luxurious than paying attention.

In an age of constant movement, nothing is more urgent than standing still.

In our work, we pay carefully attention to the arts of craftsmanship.
Evoking a sense of warm minimalism and simplicity.
Like how light becomes a living artist of patina to elevate the poetics of space.
Silence and light, as two dancers to draw a trace in time.
